Find your Citizen or Seiko Calibre Number:
To identify the correct rechargeable battery/capacitor for a Citizen EcoDrive or Seiko Kinetic watch, you need to know the calibre number for the workings inside the watch. This number is located on the back of the watch case as shown in the images below.
1. To Find Your Citizen Calibre Number
The first 4 digits of the code (shown in red) indicate the calibre (workings) in the watch and are used to identify the correct battery with the required base cell and connectors.
The remainder of the code (shown in green) forms the model number of the watch case and can be used to identify the correct case seal and other case parts.
Use our Citizen Battery Lookup Page to find the battery for your Citizen watch.
2. To Find Your Seiko Calibre Number
In a similar way, Seiko watches also have a code on the case back. Again, the first 4 digits of the code (oulined in red) indicate the calibre (workings) in the watch and are used to identify the correct battery with the required base cell and connectors.
The remainder of the code (shown in black) gives the design code of the watch case and is used to identify the correct case seal and other case parts.
